These are the terms of using Story Splash. We’ve kept them short and in plain English. By using the site, you agree to them.
What we provide
Story Splash turns a photo, a name, and a few things your child loves into a one-of-a-kind illustrated picture book. The book is delivered as a digital preview and can be ordered as a printed hardcover or softcover.
What you agree to
- The photo you upload is of your own child, or one you have permission from the parent or guardian to use.
- You’re buying the book for personal, family use. You can print it, share it with grandparents, and read it forever. You cannot resell the book or its illustrations as if they were your own commercial product.
- You will not use Story Splash to generate content involving violence, nudity, real public figures, or anything else that doesn’t belong in a children’s book.
What we agree to
- We’ll generate your book and let you preview every page before you spend a penny.
- Your reader link is valid for at least one year. We aim to keep it alive indefinitely.
- We’ll never sell your data, and we never train on your photo.
If it doesn’t work
You get to preview the entire book before you pay. If the preview doesn’t look right, don’t buy it. If you paid and something is wrong, email us and we’ll sort it out.
Ownership
You own the finished book. It’s yours to keep, print, and share with family.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced on this page and the updated date above will change.
